THE HEROES ARE UPDATED
We are happy to present a large scale update to the heroes!
The upgrade system has changed for all heroes. Each level now grants Skill Points, and you decide which hero skills to spend them on. Don’t worry, there is no "wrong" way of progressing: no matter which stats you will be improving as you go, by the hero level of 80, you will have upgraded all the available stats anyway. But if you ever want to redistribute the available Skill points, you will always have a way of resetting them. The first 5 resets per hero are free, and thereafter, every reset will cost a small amount of crystals.
Among the heroes, the Faun, Harpy and Terra have barely changed in combat. Their passive skills work as they did before, but their power was revised and made more up-to-date.
The epic heroes − Spicey, the Priestess and Mr. Frost, conversely, − have changed a lot as far as combat goes. They all got new passive skills. They also have active skills now, which you can use during the unit placement phase by tapping a special button − and receive various bonuses. In order to use active skills, you will need Radiance. This is a new resource that is automatically granted at the start of battle and every odd-numbered round. At the 9th round, if you have gained too much Radiance, it will be converted into a small amount of mana.
You can learn more about Skills and Radiance by reading hero descriptions and the Knowledge Base.
SPICEY

This hero is a great fit for players who like to head for victory starting with the first few rounds!
Spicey's passive skill deals damage to the opponent’s units each round, and the damage can be made greater by increasing the temperature. Merge units to increase it: the higher the unit’s merge rank, the higher the temperature, and the more damage Spicey deals to the enemy! But remember: after each round, the temperature is halved.
Spicey's active skill instantly increases the temperature and tosses peppers at rocks or units on your side of the field. Each pepper either deals 2 damage to a rock, or grants 2 battle bonuses to a unit.
Spicey's Battle Boost now increases the temperature instantly.
PRIESTESS

She is a steady hero who allows you to gradually increase your power in combat. She can also protect your units against untimely death.
The Priestess' passive skill creates consecrated tiles that remain on the field until the end of the battle. During combat, she heals units that were standing on these tiles during the placement phase.
The Priestess' active skill creates additional consecrated tiles − their number is twice the amount of Radiance points the Priestess has. If your entire field is already filled with them, she increases the battle bonuses of all units standing on those tiles.
The Priestess' Battle Boost instantly grants her extra Radiance now.
MR. FROST

This hero allows you to literally freeze the enemy units in place, while you are gathering your own power without haste.
Mr. Frost's passive skill creates several ice tiles on your field. Absorb these tiles by merging units or through their merge patterns − that grants Mr. Frost snowflakes, which increase the power of his skills, and also creates an ice trap on the opponent’s field. When an enemy unit gets caught in a trap, it takes damage and becomes frozen in place for a short time. If you absorb all tiles in a single round, and Mr. Frost has more than 20 snowflakes, the traps disappear, and instead the entire opponent’s field is frozen for a little while!
Mr. Frost's active skill instantly absorbs all ice tiles. If he absorbs two tiles or fewer, you will receive some additional mana.
Mr. Frost's Battle Boost now has a chance to burn away the energy of the opponent's units.
BATTLE BOOSTS
Every hero has a unique battle boost that serves to improve or somehow change that hero's primary mechanics. The shared hero battle boosts (for instance, the one that increased health for all units of the Defense type) were removed, since they did not perform their roles well enough, and more often than not served as a "last choice" to be picked.
NEW UNIT: THE SAND ELEMENTAL
.png)
The ancient power of the desert awakens on the battlefield! The Sand Elemental controls the sandstorms, gradually taking over the entire arena.
Starting with merge rank 3, the Elemental summons a sandstorm. The more Elementals of rank 3 or higher you have on the field, the stronger the storm becomes. It periodically deals damage to enemy units across the entire field and does not disappear even if all the Elementals die.
When using its ability, the Elemental increases the storm’s damage until the end of the round and unleashes a powerful pulse that deals heavy damage. At Star rank, it triggers a second pulse, slightly weaker than the primary one.
BATTLE BOOSTS
— The Sand Elemental gains a little energy per each target hit with a pulse;
— Every time the opponent summons creatures, an additional weaker pulse occurs.
GLYPHS
The Sand Elemental will make use of Glyphs. With its unique Glyph, the Sand Elemental triggers its ability before dying and applies a shield to a random ally.
WHERE TO GET?
The Sand Elemental is already available from the Archmage Chest: the chance of it dropping are five times higher than they are for other units. In about a month from now, the new unit will be available from the Starseeking event as well.
After appearing in the game, the Sand Elemental joins the Multifaction for 60 days − which means it will be receiving Faction blessings every week, as well as gaining an additional 15% boost to its stats.
CHANGES TO PASSES
.png)
— Increased the amount of resources given in the premium track of the Seasonal Pass and the passes for the regular events: Energetic Trials, Mirror Match and Card Foretelling.
— For this reason, the cost of the passes has been increased.
— That said, the passes with improved contents may still be bought at old prices! They are available on the first day of any regular event, and for the Seasonal pass, during the first 3 days of a season.
THE STARSEEKING EVENT
— Meet the Starseeking event! Complete the event's quests, spin the roulette and receive a legendary unit for your collection!
— The cost of the Star Pass has increased somewhat, but its contents are now move valuable: an extra Chest of Star Coins and some Spheres to spin the event's roulette have been added. When purchasing the pass, you now gain three more spins.
— The next Starseeking event will be starting on March 26th, and you will find the Berserk legendary unit as the main prize. Since the Berserk has been in the game for a while now, the number of spins required to be guaranteed to receive this unit will be reduced. With the start of the event, the Berserk will gain the Multifaction bonus for 28 days, but will not receive the stat increase.
— The new unit, the Sand Elemental , is available from the Archmage Chest right after the new version has appeared. Its chance to drop is 5x that of any other unit.
UPDATES TO THE STAR OF THE WEEK
— The unit that becomes the Star of the Week will now only be receiving Epic battle boosts in combat while the event with this unit lasts!
