MY.GAMES Store has presented new functions to improve remote communication during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The platform now allows users to have multi-profile accounts, stream gameplay and communicate via the platform’s messenger.
Several weeks ago, MY.GAMES Store introduced new tools to improve user interaction and communication. The Store’s users can now have several profiles within one account, and switching between them takes just one click. This new feature is primarily for families with several members playing video games. If you want to stay in touch with your friends, the MY.GAMES Store is now offering to do it within the platform through its own messenger, so you don’t need any additional software. We are also planning to launch group chats shortly.
Streaming fans now have the opportunity to broadcast their gameplay live via popular platforms like Twitch and Mixer. All it takes is to link them up in the MY.GAMES Store profile settings. All of these new functions are very simple to start up and manage, and can be launched through the profile menu. The first metrics post-launch have shown that demand for online communication is on the rise during self-isolation, as people are staying at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
“The new tools in MY.GAMES Store should help our users stay in touch. Remote communication has never been as important as it is right now, when social distancing and self-isolation are vital in the effort to curb the spread of COVID-19. We saw traffic jump 25% on the MY.GAMES Store in just four days between March 22 and 25, while March 26 saw an all-time high in user numbers. More than 615,000 unique users have used the messenger since its launch, opening it 3.2 million times. The past week has seen around 300 hours of streaming, and more than a third of our users have tried the multi-profile function,” said Rodion Kotelnikov, Head of MY.GAMES Store.
MY.GAMES Store is now planning to expand the developer’s toolset. We will be announcing the next update’s contents shortly.
