A new update for Nikoderiko: The Magical World is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This update adds new gameplay changes, visual and audio updates, changes to the UI, and more.
An update has also been submitted for Nintendo Switch players. Stay tuned to Nikoderiko social channels for more information about its release!
GAMEPLAY CHANGES
- Bosses: Fixed hitboxes, damage, sounds, and effects for various bosses, including Toby the Dragon, Baron Grimbald, Darby the Beaver, and Crusher boss fights.
- Bosses: Fixed mount settings for boss fights.
- Enemies: Fixed sliding legs on certain Cobring enemies, increased walking animation time, and other animation fixes.
- Characters: Fixed an issue where Niko or Luna could fall through textures while on a mount.
- Owlspire Wheels: Fixed an issue where Niko or Luna could teleport to a different location when approaching a jump pad at a certain angle.
- Dragon Chase: Various camera and projectile fixes.
- Rope Ride Grotto: Various camera, model, and collision fixes.
- Glimmering Grove: Various character and enemy fixes.
- Thorns Valley: Fixed a floating barrel.
- Shadow Fish Lagoon: Various camera and collision issues, including the character falling under the map.
- Mount Mayhem: Various collision fixes and polish.
- Dino Vines: Various fixes.
VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS
- Lava Temple: Lava FX fixes.
- Cold Waves: Various visual updates and improvements, including improved fog.
- Fallwood Treasure Terrors: Added new visual elements.
- Crazy Cannons: Polished lighting and fixed camera shake when using a glider to collect coins.
- Geyser Cliffs: Fixed environment reacting to Ground Pound.
- General: Fixed shakey texture loading for explosions.
- General: Fixed camera not centering on Niko while platforms retract.
AUDIO IMPROVEMENTS
- Console: Increased gamepad volume by 1 dB.
- Chef’s Cafe: Added sound to the side grinders.
- Desert Drop Dash: Updated platform sounds.
- Bosses: Fixed sound for Baron Grimbald's abilities, Crusher boss fight, and other bosses with cutscenes.
- General: Fixed certain sounds not activating in co-op.
- General: Updated music in the Trophy Room.
USER INTERFACE (UI) CHANGES
- Fixed pop-up text for various bosses, discoveries, cinematics, and collectibles.
- Fixed black screen appearing in co-op.
- Updated shop economy and localization.
- Fixed stretched icons in the Shop and corrected icons for keyboard and joystick controls.
- Fixed bugs with the mount button animation on Easy Mode, and HP display for players on score screen.
- Fixed Collectibles title and character portraits on the HUD and global map.
- Updated dialogue and Shop title.
- Optimized player states for the mount button.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Removed debug text.
- Various platforming, environment, and general fixes.
