The latest update for Nikoderiko: The Magical World is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Update 1.0.2 adds gameplay changes, fixes for issues in certain levels, visual, audio, and UI updates, and more.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES
- Boss (Baron Grimbald): Updates to hitboxes, damage, abilities, summons, environment, animations, and projectiles.
- Boss (Crusher): Fixed dynamite clipping through the floor and projectile destruction. Updated arena music.
- Boss (Darby the Beaver): FX fixes.
- Boss (Robokong): Fixed boss HP being hidden on pause.
- Boss (Sally the Flower): Fixed taking damage after player death.
- Boss (Toby the Dragon): Fixed trophy room animations and various sounds.
- Enemy (Cobring Brigadier): Fixed sliding legs, increased walk animation speed, animation fixes.
- Luna: Added new idle animations.
- Mounts: Fixed characters not taking damage while gliding from certain Crusher abilities. Also fixed mount settings in boss fights.
LEVEL FIXES
- Lava Temple: Fixed character falling through textures, camera issues while using a mount, and missing end-level animation.
- Glimmering Grove: Fixed collision and hitbox issues.
- Rope Ride Grotto: Fixed camera issues when jumping in the cannon.
- Dragon Chase: Fixed dragon speed during intro animation, plus camera issues.
- Geyser Cliffs: Fixed hearts disappearing in co-op.
- Crazy Cannons: Fixed issues with character duplicating or disappearing in co-op in the first bonus level, and issue with letter collectible after death.
- Flicker Factory: Fixed character getting stuck between a cannon and crate, and the loading screen freezing in certain circumstances.
- Junkyard Madness: Fixed jumping and collision issues with platform edges.
- Tricky Caves: Fixed character standing on walls at 90 degrees.
- Jellyfish Coves: Fixes for camera bugs.
- Swinging Shrine Falls: Fixed the camera being too close to the character after respawn. Fixed respawn issue near abyss in coop mode.
- Airtube Adventures: Fixed jerking animation when using the elevator, and locked Z-axis speed for characters in certain circumstances.
- Shadow Fish Lagoon: Fixed Oceanis the Seahorse not disappearing when exiting water, camera jittering, and NPC spawning issues.
- Sacred Forest: Fixed animations related to jumping with a mount and the level’s start.
- Mount Mayhem: Fixed mount getting stuck in textures after both players die in co-op, plus environmental and texture collision issues.
VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS
- Level (Under Pressure): Fixed visual effects and added rockfall effect on impact.
- Level (Frogs and Frights): Fixed green spider web effect remaining after killing spiders.
- Level (Sacred Forest): Fixed visual effects of leaves.
- General: Added visual effect for fish-catching animation.
- General: Fixed appearance of meshes after the score screen on boss levels.
AUDIO IMPROVEMENTS
- Level (Desert Drop Dash): Updated sounds for platforms.
- Boss (Crusher): Added sound for cutscene transitions.
- Boss (Baron Grimbald): Fixed sound effects.
- General: Fixed UI vibration issues.
- General: Fixed missing parachute sound during gameplay.
USER INTERFACE (UI) CHANGES
- Credits: Updated scrolling speed.
- Collectibles: Updated Collectibles panel logic, added key order tracking, and polished trophy room animations.
- Localization: Fixed issues in hints, Shop, and various UI elements.
- General: Fixed quick disappearance of the letter panel.
- General: Fixed mount button bugs, boss HP bar after victory, and state transitions post-final Baron Grimbald boss fight cutscene.
- General: Added sound to logo screen in credits.
