LEGENDARY UNIT UPGRADE SYSTEM OVERHAUL

Today, we want to share important news regarding upcoming changes in Castle Duels, specifically affecting the upgrade system for Legendary units.

Currently, upgrading Legendary units requires Legendary Spheres in addition to gold and card copies. Because of this, many players are facing noticeable shortage of these spheres – especially when upgrading to Level 11 and further, where upgrading a unit requires 9 spheres. To accumulate this resource and level up a single unit, players often have to sacrifice cards of other units to exchange them for spheres.

We want the progression of your collection to feel more convenient and smooth, allowing you to effectively upgrade your units. Therefore, we have decided to remove Legendary Spheres completely. Upgrading units will now only require unit cards and gold. This way, you will no longer need to plan around extra sources to obtain Spheres.

If you still have Legendary Spheres remaining when the new version is released, a special section will open for you in the in-game Store. This is where you can exchange your Spheres for other valuable resources: crystals, Glutton Chests, magic dust, minerals, gold, or Lunar Essence.

Starting with Level 11, the number of card copies required to level up will be increased. However, the total number of entities needed to reach Level 15 will be noticeably lower than in the present system. You can check the new values in the table below.

The process of removing the Spheres will be gradual. First, the Legendary Spheres in event pass rewards and leaderboards will be replaced with different, equally useful resources. Spheres will be completely removed from the upgrade system on June 15th, in Version 22.0.

Following the update, we will be closely monitoring the game economy and your feedback. We really want to hear your thoughts! Please let us know in the comments what you think about the upcoming changes.
