The new season is already underway, and the balance changes will be rolling out in stages.
Later today, within the next few hours, you'll see updates for the Twins, the Corsair, and SIMM-21 go live. As for the rest, we've brought you some sneak peeks straight from the development team. Let's take a look!
SIMM-21
Although SIMM-21 excels at protecting your board, he sometimes falls behind other legendary heroes when it comes to overall power.
To help this gentleman compete more effectively and fully realize his potential as a defender, we've made several improvements to his mechanics. These changes should make SIMM-21 a stronger and more competitive choice in battle.
Energy Shield ability (Reworked)
- If a bot cannot be spawned when the ability is activated for any reason, all effects normally granted when the bot disappears are applied immediately (charge, mana, shield reset, monster stun).
- Shield duration: 2-4s → 3-7s
- Shields charge faster thanks to an increased full battery charge rate: 50% → 100%
- Damage per full charge at base level: 18% → 20% (at max level: 40% → 50%)
Energy Surplus ability (Reworked)
- Activation now guarantees the cleansing of 4 units
- Cleansing chance at base level: 20% → 30% (max level: 60%)
Critical Task ability (new mechanic added)
- SIMM-21 now not only increases damage dealt to bosses and mini bosses on your side, but also reduces damage dealt to bosses and mini bosses on your opponent’s side (this ability will replace Duration)
- Critical damage is no longer tied to ability activation and now scales with the Supercharge level
- Base critical chance value: 1.5% → 2%
- Base critical damage value: 7% → 20%
The Twins
The Twins have been having a rough time lately. Losing ranks is currently too punishing, while their rank progression isn't quite fast enough to get their damage rolling.
Our goal is to make playing the Twins feel smoother and more rewarding. With Star Growth talent, you will be able to gain ranks much faster, while the Peak of Power talent will receive a substantial boost to critical damage for each Twin at Rank 6 or higher.
Core Mechanic
- Damage increase per сharge: 5% → 5.5%
Star Growth talent
- Rank-up requirement with the Harmony of Destruction talent: 20 → 15 particles
Peak of Power talent
- Increased critical damage for the Twins at merge rank 6+: 35% → 40%
Corsair
This captain performs well at lower levels, but at max level, he still struggles to keep up with some of the community’s favorite units. It’s time to give the Corsair a little more firepower.
We're planning to increase the damage gained per stack from his core mechanic, as well as boost the effectiveness of the Powder Kegs and Admiralty talents. We're also looking to improve the Large Caliber talent by lowering the monster health threshold required for its effect to activate.
Core Mechanic
- Charge bonus: 5% → 5.5%
Powder Kegs talent
- Keg damage: 600% → 650%
- Gunpowder charges required to restore a keg: 12 → 10
Admiralty talent
- Shot damage when consuming a hoard charge: 75% → 80%
Heavy Caliber talent
- Increased damage now applies to enemies above 50% → 40% Health
Unit balance plans
Tesla
Tesla has always been "charged to win", but we've noticed that he's performing a little too well at lower levels. To bring his power more in line with other units, we're planning to slightly reduce the damage granted by charges at Level 7.
Don't worry, though: Tesla's Charge damage at max level will remain unchanged, and he will still be every bit as formidable on the battlefield.
Valkyrie
According to both our data and your feedback, this fearless warrior takes a bit too long to build up her power, and even after being fully ramped up, she tends to slightly fall behind her fellow Pantheon units.
To address this, we're planning to reduce the cooldown of her Mana Power-up and significantly increase the damage gained per stack after reaching the stack limit. These changes should help the Valkyrie shine in longer battles, and better reward players who stick with her through the late game.
Bruiser
This guy has been waiting for his moment to shine – and it's finally time to throw some punches!
We're preparing a solid buff for the Bruiser: his base damage will be increased at Levels 7 and 15, the Brawl talent will grant even more damage for each monster on the field, and the Uppercut talent will have a higher chance to trigger.
Hero balancing plans
Our goal is straightforward: we want every hero to feel valuable, unique, and worth considering in different decks. That's why we're continuing to focus on improving heroes who are currently underperforming. And don't worry – this is just the beginning.
In the coming seasons, we will be taking a closer look at the rest of the roster as well, including legendary heroes, to make sure everyone has a chance to shine.
Snowflake
Snowflake performs well at lower levels, but at higher levels, she falls behind other heroes – especially the Mermaid. It's time to wake her from her winter slumber: Frostbite will apply a stronger armor reduction to monsters, while Best Served Cold will provide a greater boost to critical damage.
And that's not all. We're also introducing a brand-new ability: Snowflake will be able to send a massive snowball rolling across the battlefield, crushing summoned monsters and knocking them back. What could be better than putting your opponents' ambitions on ice?
Gadget
Gadget is a brilliant tactician who excels at empowering units on the battlefield, but she still trails behind the Mermaid in both popularity and performance.
We're looking to unlock more of her potential by increasing the number of Golden Mechanisms that can appear on the field and improving their activation chance. Maximum power for your board!
We will be sharing a dedicated balance preview soon, with all the exact numbers and mechanics behind these changes.
