NEW UNIT: CHAMPION
.png)
The old knight sets off on an adventure once again! Armed with a spear, the Champion fearlessly breaks into battle on his trusty horse, crushing enemies on the way to his goal.
Ability
The Champion does not use energy and does not attack in regular way.
Instead, he charges to the selected target, dealing damage to all enemies he hits along his path. After reaching the target, the Champion performs a powerful spear strike, then falls asleep for a while to regain his strength before the next charge. The Champion deals increased damage to Defense type units.
At merge rank 3, the Champion's spear strike does damage in a small area before him, also repulsing enemies.
At the Star merge rank, the repulsion from the spear strike becomes more prominent. The Champion also repulses enemies he runs into during the charge, and resists control effects while moving.
Battle Boosts
— The spear strike stuns enemies for a time;
— When the Champion's health drops below 20%, he gains a shield.
Glyphs
The Champion will have Glyphs available. With his personal unique Glyph, he takes less damage while charging. Each enemy hit with the Champion's charge also increases the spear strike damage until the end of the round.
How to get?
Right now, the unit can only be received from the Archmage Chest. The Champion will join the Multifaction for 60 days. In August, the he will appear in the Starseeking event.
NEW UNIT: CRYOMASTER
.png)
The Cryomaster is a serious warrior who uses cryogenic technology to keep the opponents under control.
Ability
When using his ability, he unleashes a wave of ice that deals damage and causes the enemies to become Frostbitten for a time:
— At rank 3, frostbite reduces the attack speed of units;
— At the Star merge rank, frostbite reduces both the attack speed and the movement speed.
Every second, the frostbite effect is weakening until it is completely nullified.
Battle Boosts
— Incoming healing to all enemies that became frostbitten is reduced;
— When a round starts, the Cryomaster's ability is charged.
Glyphs
The Cryomaster will have access to Glyphs as well. With his unique legendary Glyph, the Cryomaster will leave behind a block of ice when dying. The block will then explode, dealing 100% of the attack damage and stunning the targets.
How to get?
The unit will be available in the Mirror Match event, replacing the Jester therein. The first time the event is launched with the new unit is on August 3rd.
After being replaced in the event, the Jester will become available from regular sources of legendary cards, such as Magic Dust, Season Pass, trophy rewards, Transmuter and Glutton Chest.
HYPNOTOAD UNIT UPDATED
.png)
This old Control-type unit has its playstyle changed around! The Hypnotoad deals damage and afflicts enemy units with Hypnosis, which now does more than just incapacitate the opponents: hypnotized units start slowly moving towards the enemy's part of the field, falling out of formation and becoming temporarily unavailable in combat. The duration of Hypnosis increases with each level of the Hypnotoad, and damaging the unit no longer breaks the effect.
At the Star merge rank, the Hypnotoad's Hypnosis affects several opponents at once.
The base stats of the Hypnotoad were significantly increased as well: that includes health and other key parameters.
Glyphs
Going forward, Glyphs will be available for the Hypnotoad
The epic and legendary Glyphs of Stunning will have a different effect when used with the Hypnotoad: instead of stunning, they will make the enemies hypnotized.
Hypnotoad's unique Glyph: if the Hypnosis is broken due to the target's death, there is a chance of the effect instantly skipping over to another of the enemy's units.
NEW BLESSING OF THE WEEK
.png)
We have added a new Blessing of the Week — Summoning Rocks! Several rocks on the battlefield will be replaced with special ones. By breaking a rock of this kind, you will receive not only mana but also a random unit. The merge rank and battle bonuses of the summoned unit depend on how exactly the rock was destroyed
If you break a special rock by merging, the summoned unit will copy the merge rank and the number of battle bonuses of the unit that resulted from the merging. This means you can get two – or even more – Star rank units with just a single merge!
If you destroy a summoning rock in any other way (for example, with Spicey's skill or a Battle Boost), the merge rank and the number of battle bonuses of the summoned unit will be chosen randomly.
Another thing that makes this weekly blessing different: it is not tied to any specific faction. During the week of the Summoning Rocks, you can use any combinations of units and heroes you want.
