Platformer Bombastic Brothers out on iOS
The 2D game is a mix of the best of the best in the Run ‘n’ Gun genre and 80s action movies
Mail.Ru Group’s international brand My.com and developers Fast Forward have announced the release of platformer Bombastic Brothers exclusively for the iOS through the App Store.
Bombastic Brothers is an action-packed Run ‘n’ Gun platformer based on classic arcade games and 80s action movies. The story rolls out as alien bugs invade planet Earth, stealing secret weapons and kidnapping the protagonist’s dog. As a special forces squad member, you must retaliate and free your corgi, eradicating as many alien pests as possible and helping locals.
“There are millions of fans of classic platformers in the world, but there are barely any Run ‘n’ Gun mobile games. So we’ve decided to not only be among the pioneers of this genre, but also offer a next-gen experience to the fans. This game has everything they cherish: we have preserved the classic feel of retro arcade gameplay, but we’ve increased battle and overall game speed and added tons of content, game modes, and features. This includes PvP, base building, and hero upgrades. In short, Bombastic Brothers is a 2019 game with a good old classic feel,” said Ivan Fedyanin, Head of Fast Forward studios.
Bombastic Brothers borders on several genres: it is a 2D-platfrom game with battler elements and base building. Apart from classic levels that end in boss fights and exciting hoverbike races, players will discover many more interesting features like building and upgrading your spaceship, weapons and gear. The game also offers several modes like PvP arena and “Bunker” where the protagonist must take on wave upon wave of enemy forces.
